Really think about it… what is your main motivation to read this blog post right now? Sure, you might want to lose weight, or build muscle, or get a flat stomach, but why are you really here?
Dr. Pantalon, a Yale University faculty member, found these six questions are by far the most influential in helping you get results. In the ER, when an alcoholic would come in and the doc would only have 7 minutes to save their lives and convince them to stop drinking, it was these six questions that led to a 50% success rate — in just 7 minutes.

I will be able to breathe much better, it will improve if not eliminate my insulin resistance and my need for CPAP. I would love to get off my medications! 5. Why is this important to you? I need to have better health and need to face the fact the way to do that is to eat right and exercise even though honestly I do not like exercising! 6. What is the logical next step? To get back to exercising and eating proper
-
1.I need to get fit. For myself. I need to be a visual example to my teen that if you want something you really have to pray and do it. don’t want to see the non-chalant face of “yeah ok” when I say I’m going to lose it. 2.8 3.Last yr of the 40’s. Gotta get it done. 4.Healthy and an example beyond immediate family. 5.Can feel the weakness setting in which may be followed by illness. 6.Get started, get help.
-
1) I need outside motivation to initially get me going/moving.
2) 10!
3) because this is it – I am ready!
4) I’ll have more energy & I’d be more outgoing.
5) because I’ve been putting it off for too long
6) the next step is to just move! Get moving – even if it’s some good stretch time on my foam roller. -
1) A few years back, I lost about 65 lbs., but I seem to be stuck, plateaued around 17-20% body fat ever since. My goal is to get down to 8%, and to finally see the six-pack that I set out to build and reveal. I am here to “finish the race” — to have the pride and satisfaction of being the self that I used to think was impossible. 2) 10 3) With proper guidance and accountability, I KNOW that I am ready to make this my time. I am prepared to hold nothing back. 4) I am a professional actor, and the roles in which I could be cast will significantly broaden. Casting directors will see my body as an asset, and never a potential deterrent. After a lifelong struggle with obesity (dating back to my earliest memories) I will finally LOOK FORWARD to looking in the mirror every day and seeing the killer body that I fought to achieve — a v-shaped torso, six-pack abs, and no unsightly curves. My posture will project balance, confidence, and ability. I will finally go for a run without a shirt on (an early goal of mine in this journey). My hard work will be consummate and complete. 5) I have worked too hard, for too long to let my dream body slip away on the home stretch. Those closest to me have believed in and supported me so much, and I want for them and myself to finish sculpting the best possible me. 6) If I can’t get Dr. K’s help, I will simply have to double down on applying what I know to be true. I can clean up my nutrition quite a bit and continue forward on prioritizing, improving, and executing my fitness regimen!
-
1) I am enjoying the learning opportunities from someone knowledgeable and at the same time i feel motivated to keep exercising despite being 67 years old. 2) i would say 7 because I like to do regular workouts, at my age i do have some limitations. Knowing myself i will never work as hard as if I were exercising with a coach or trainer physically present. 3). I already feel different, i am working out to remain healthy, stay active and have changed my nutrition habits. i reallly feel good. Finally must say that i am not good with technology, so when i see exercises, I will try to memorize them and do them the best i can.

1 – I am here because I need help with focus and direction. I think I know what I’m supposed to do, I just can’t seem to get there by myself. I have a ton of information I’ve taken in these past couple years, I’m having trouble bringing it all together to finish what I’ve started. I have a lifetime of abuse and misinformation to overcome and maybe I can’t get there by myself.
2 – I am at 8 and have been at 8 for a couple years now. I have a ton of desire to succeed, and have always done so on my own, and I think I have fooled myself into thinking I have been at 10 all this time, but the reality I believe I am coming to that I need the help of those better educated than myself. I have educated myself beyond anything I thought would be needed when I started this journey, but I realize now I must seek and accept help from those more knowledgeable than myself.
3 – I have a ton of desire. I think it would be a lie to say I am at 10 because I am realizing I need help from an expert. However, I’ve worked very hard at the same time and I am closer than I ever really thought possible. I know my desire will get me there and so I am very confident, know where I need to go. So I didn’t go lower because I continue to put the effort forth that is necessary, even though I continue to learn and grow in the process.
4 – My life is honestly already different, I have more energy and am more fit that I have ever been. But now that I’ve experienced better, I realize there is so much more I can do that I ever really thought possible. I have a lifetime of abuse to undo and am lucky enough at age 54 to be able to undo it. I will never go back to my old self.
5 – My health has become a focus of my life I have come to really enjoy. I feel very fortunate, having lived the life I have, to be I the position I am in and I will not let it slip my grasp again.
6 – The next logical step for me seems to be seeking more help on a personal level from the people I trust. Help to understand and better apply all the knowledge I have gained in the past couple years. -

1) I am here b/c ……I am a 48 year young woman who is obese and I don’t want to develop heart disease, diabetes and a host of other things that other family members have developed. I have struggled with my weight for years after the birth of my first son at age 20. Later, when my third son was 3 I had a nervous breakdown and went into an 8 year period of depression. I ended up on a lot of medications to stabilize me and I am still on those. Every one of those cause weight gain. However, 4 years ago as I was talking to a counselor about how I was doomed to be fat, she told me something that changed my outlook on a that and other things. She said, “It may be harder for you to lose the weight than others but it is not impossible. You just have to put forth a little more effort.” So that month, I started and I lost 37 lbs. in 5 months. I kept it off up until this year when I had to deal with some stressful family situations taking care of aging parents. So, basically, I proved that I can do it myself when I apply myself. I am here for the prospect of getting added encouragement and help.
2) 10…..
3)……I am ready now, I am actively working rt now and I have already lost 4 lbs in the last month.
4) It won’t be a chore to bend over to tie my shoes!!!! I’m really looking forward to that!! that sounds silly or like I’m making a funny but I’m not. Every time I tie my shoes and I’m outta breath when I’m done I dream of a time when it won’t be like that. Also, exercising will become more and more fulfilling. My body will be under less stress with the weight off of my joints.
5) Well, I think that’s kinda obvious but I will explain…..Just knowing that I a simple thing like tying my shoes is hard for me b/c I’m overweight is embarrassing. I have overcome many obstacles in my life. I am now a joyful, funny, and fun loving woman! I don’t want this to stunt my growth! 🙂 Pun intended!
6)I’m already doing it! I’m exercising and counting calories. If I could get your help I would be grateful! -
1. I am here because I am struggling with creating my own program. There is so much information out there and I don’t really have the time to put it all together for myself.
2. On a scale of 1 to 10, I am at a 9 when thinking about how ready I am to experience results.
3. I chose 9 instead of a lower number because I have been trying so hard over the past 1 1/2 years to create this change myself so I am REALLY ready.
4. If I can get the result I am looking for, I will feel better – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I will be healthier and stronger.
5. It is important to me to be a healthier version of me so I can be around for my child and spouse, as well as other family members for a long time.
6. The next logical step for me is to keep incorporating what I learn into my existing program and make the changes necessary to get the results I want. -
1. I believe that we all have the power and ability to change ourselves for the better. I do want to lose body fat but more importantly I want to change habits today that will benefit my life in the long run. I don’t want to get older and battle with health conditions. Sure, looking good in the mirror is great but feeling good and still looking good later on is better.
2. I would say I am a 7. Still working on improvements by eating healthier and scheduling time for physical activity at least four times a week.
3. I chose 7 because I changed my nutrition habits for the better within the past four months. I wake up feeling better, I am less tensed and stressed throughout the day. Intense physical activity at the gym has helped. More intense exercises but less time at the gym produces more results for me and I have opportunities to focus on other aspirations and duties.
4. I will look at myself, seriously, and smile and tell myself that I accomplished something. To me, giving myself credit for something I work for is an amazing feeling and I feel more determined to tackle on other goals.
5. This is a matter of health. A couple of months ago, I woke up spooked. Not too sure if I had a dream but the moment I woke up around 5 a.m. I thought to myself I need to stop my high anxiety, tension, and stress. I do not want to be in my thirties, forties, fifties and above and do not have mobility to do what I am capable of doing.
6. The logical next step is to plan and coordinate what I can do for the benefit of my health. Strategies and plans with a personal trainer may increase my chances of reaching my health and fitness goals.

Why Are You Here?
I want THE best of the best to train me and coach me. Mentor, support, brains behind the muscle, all of this. I want to be a good example to my daughter. I want to make my family proud, and I hope to lead a business in coaching others as well, after I do what I need to do. Walk the walk so to speak.
2
On a scale of 0 to 10, how ready are you to get results or experience change?
9!3
Why didn’t you choose a lower number? In other words, if you chose ’3′, then why not ’2′?
Because I am motivated to have a new beginning. I am tired of working hard in the gym, and not having results. Not looking like I work out as hard as I do. I do struggle with emotional eating, and the holidays suck for me and make that worse. Im working on myself now by using hypnosis. It is helping. So I look forward to the new year so I can have a new beginning. I want to compete in bikini, and be an inspiration to women with and without kids, young and older.
4
Assuming you get the result you’re looking for, how will your life be different?
Not only will I be living my dream of competing, but I want to pursue coaching others as a business as well. I will feel like I am in the body I deserve to be in, which I don’t feel right in now.5
Why is this important to you?
It is in my heart and has been in my heart for years. I ignored it in favor of partying in my 20’s. After going to a show a few years ago, it rekindled a spark that will not die. I think of it day and night.
6What is the logical next step?
Have a plan of attack related to nutrition, training, and mind setting. Goals written down, in view and in mind each day. Being consistent with this plan, and making changes periodically after assessing the results as determined by my would be COACH!

I want to prepare for the last phase of my life. I am turning 75 and it is important to me to get into a routine that works but is safe enough that I can continue it, without doing damage for the long run, for the rest of my life. No more gimmicks or short term progress, only to do damage for later!
-
2.I am ready for change because it is a lifetime decision. I’m at a crossroads. I’m also a health coach in the community, so want to walk the talk for my groups.
-
3. I chose 9 because there’s always room to grow. I didn’t chose 8 because I’M HOLDING VERY LITTLE BACK ! I really want to move ahead with my life’s work.4) Assuming I get the result I’m looking for, I will be proving to myself that it is NOT too late to be the person I want to be, and then also proving to others that it is NEVER too late for them either, no matter their age, fitness level, even state of mind!
-
5.This is important to me because I have come so far in the journey to vibrant wellness and it feel so good. But I want to consolidate my gains and learn how to work out safely for the rest of my life. I have already become a daily exerciser and reached my weight goal of high school weight. But I don’t know how to change up my activities and keep challenging my body to new levels. That’s what’s needed to prevent injury and make myself able to deal with the challenges of old age. I just know if I can learn this, I can be both role model and cheerleader for others who are challenged along the way. I have the perfect volunteer job from which I can really help many others! That’s what turns me on……
6. The logical next step is to consolidate my efforts to now, understand how to maintain and grow in functional strength, agility, flexibility, endurance, fun and integration of different activities and exercises to make me amazingly fit and ready for what the eighties, nineties and beyond, will bring. I can hardly wait to see what I can do. I started Trapeze at 70, hammock yoga this year, and who knows what in the future. But I need to be safe and smart about what I am capable of… -
i am here because i need to find a way out of being so overly fat. on a scale from 0-10, i am 10 because i have always been fat and have always had to sit activities out because of my weight. my life will be different because i will finally be happy with what i see in the mirror everyday. this is important to me because i will now be able to help my parents and be able to do things with friends. the next logical step is to get coached by dr kareem and become everything that i want to be .

I have seen enough of Dr. K’s work to respect his advice. I
am convinced of his knowledge regarding how the body works, how to recognize
malfunctions in an individual’s kinesthetic performance, and how to develop a
personalized exercise program to correct any flaws or impairments, and enhance
performance.I’m at an 8 at the prospect of getting results by changing
my daily routine, and more directly, my exercise regimen. If time and money were extracted from the equation, it would
have been a maximum desire to embrace the adventure. Limited income, constant
demands on my time, and medical complications are considerations that perplex
the outcome.I would be free of the draining side-effects of the
medications I am taking – possibly even discontinuing them all together…I would
have the energy and endurance to enjoy helping others and pursue my own
passions. I would be a promising example of how just applying myself to a
powerful, expedient exercise regimen just minutes a day could change a life
dramatically. I will look and feel amazing. I will attain maximum joie de
vivre!I am 67 years old. I am feeling the weight of mortality.
There is more time behind me than in front, and I want what’s left to be
sterling. I have damaged my body and mind with alcohol and opiates. I am at a
point in my recovery that hope and desire are knocking at my door. I am ready
to answer. They say, “Nothing changes, until something changes.” I have
determined the efficacy of Dr. K as an invaluable mentor. I am now the eager
student. The next logical step is to pursue an education under Dr. K’s
mentor-ship – “If you want to be successful, do what successful people do”. -
1- lose weight
2- 8
3- because I feel motivated and ready to make changes
4- I will feel and look better, I had lost 10 lbs last year and felt amazing but didn’t keep it off
5- I want to feel amazing!!!
6- Logical next step is to get going on this!! -
Because this is the first day of my life and I will start as a newborn.baby steps 🙂
